Open archive “ArcGIS.10”
Step 1 Edit License file
Open the service.txt file and change “host name” by your computer name
Step2 Install arcgis 10
During installation choose “ArcInfo (SingleUse)”
Step 3 Install License Manager
To do so, run the setup ESRI.exe
Step 4 Copy the “medicine files over the originals”
AfCore.dll
Copy to
C:\program files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Bin
service.txt (modified on step 1)
copy to
C:\ program files\ArcGIS\License 10.0\Bin
Step 5 Configuring “License Server Administrator”
Not a big deal here, just press “Stop”, “Start” and “Re-read License” in that order to make it
use the new modified license file
Step 6 Configuring “ArcGIS Administrator”
Click on Desktop, select ArcInfo (Concurrent Use) and click on “Change…”
Type “27001@
(in my case, computername= GUILHERME-PC)

geoprocessing->geoprocessing options->disable "background processing".
